More about Christy...

I believe in every person’s ability to achieve their desired mental well-being. Mental health is an essential part of our experience and can help or hurt one’s overall well-being, success, relationships, and all aspects of one’s life. I honor a patient’s courage and vulnerability in seeking treatment by meeting them with a non-judgmental and accepting approach.

As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I provide mental health evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services including medication management. I take the time to talk to the patient about their concerns, learn about what is important to them, and discuss available treatment options. I am determined to work with the patient to determine a treatment approach that everyone is comfortable with and that will work best for them.

I have over 15 years of experience in varied aspects of nursing. My passion in nursing has always been seated in the human experience and mental well-being. Even before pursuing a career in psychiatric nursing, it was always a part of my innate nursing practice. Believing the root of healing, health, and happiness lies in mental health I decided to pursue an advanced degree in psychiatric mental health. Nurturing this innate aspect of myself has enabled me to grow into a practitioner that is dedicated to the mental well-being of my patients.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006 from Washington State University. I worked in various aspects of nursing: labor and delivery, mother-baby, fertility, oncology, and psychiatry. I then went on to earn my Master of Science as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Frontier Nursing University, graduating with honors.
